Summary
In 2020, the Toronto Region Board of Trade partnered with the Urban Land Institute Toronto to gather insights on how physical urban spaces can adapt to support post-pandemic recovery. Both organizations collaboratively organized a symposium that brought together nine separate multidisciplinary tables of urban professionals, each of which tackled a distinct urban challenge.
The areas addressed were civic assets; commercial; culture; education; public realm; residential; retail; social purpose; and transportation.
The nine tables then reconvened to present their findings during a webcast in June 2020. This report provides more details on these recommendations.
